Real World Application of ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 221
Standard 221, a Test Method to Field-Measure and Score the Performance of an Installed Unitary HVAC System, is unique as it was written for real field practitioners like HVAC technicians, facilities engineers, TAB professionals, and energy auditors.
This session explores ways Standard 221 has been applied in the field since its publication in 2020 and introduces a new calculator tool developed by the 221 committee as well as web-based software developed by National Comfort Institute to aid in the documentation and calculation of field-measured HVAC performance.
